Binding Research Infrastructures for the Deployment of Global Experimental Science
BRIDGES is a project funded by NSF. The goal of BRIDGES is to address a programmable cyber infrastructure with a trans-Atlantic test-bed in the United States and Europe. BRIDGES provides a flexible 100Gbps trans-Atlantic backbone ring connecting Washington DC, Paris, Amsterdam, New York City and McLean VA. These five locations provide easy access to research programs in US and EU enabling them to establish end-to-end network infrastructure between and among collaborating research teams on two continents. BRIDGES is developing and deploying advanced network programmability software to deliver rapid reconfiguration, predictability, and repeatable service provisioning, seamless multi-domain scalability, and advanced APIs that enable cyber-infrastructure control and orchestration through automated agents.
Bring the research application users to become familar with the deployment.
